On September 26, 2026, the Kroger Wellness Tour made its final major community stop of the year in Utah, bringing its Salt Lake City-area Wellness Celebration to Smith’s in West Jordan.

Flipside Fun was there too — and our contribution was hard to miss.

We brought one of our inflatable obstacle courses to give kids and families another way to get moving, compete, laugh and participate in a day built around a much broader idea of wellness.

The celebration brought together wellness brands, food, cooking demonstrations, mini golf, classes, dancing, interactive activities and family entertainment throughout the day.

Rather than treating wellness as something people simply heard about, the event gave attendees plenty of opportunities to actually participate.

What Was the 2026 Kroger Wellness Tour?

The 2026 Kroger Wellness Tour expanded Kroger’s wellness programming into stores and communities across the country.

Throughout September, Kroger hosted wellness experiences designed around nutrition, physical activity, product discovery and practical ways people could incorporate healthier habits into everyday life.

Four larger community celebrations were also held around the country in the Nashville, Houston, Phoenix and Salt Lake City markets.

Utah hosted the final major community celebration of the tour on September 26, 2026, at Smith’s in West Jordan.

That gave Flipside Fun the opportunity to be part of the nationwide tour’s final large-scale community event.

A Wellness Event That Felt Like a Festival

One of the things that immediately stood out about the Kroger Wellness Tour was the number of different ways guests could participate.

This wasn’t simply a row of information booths outside a grocery store.

It felt much more like a community festival.

Guests could explore vendor experiences, discover new products, take part in wellness activities, watch cooking demonstrations, try mini golf, join movement classes and dance along with activities happening around the event.

That variety is important when planning a large public event.

Not every guest wants to participate in the same way.

Some people want to learn.

Some want to sample food or products.

Some want to talk with vendors.

Some want to watch.

And others — especially kids — want to do something.

That’s where Flipside Fun came in.

Flipside Fun Brings the Obstacle Course

Flipside Fun provided an inflatable obstacle course that encouraged guests to move without making physical activity feel like a workout.

Kids could race through obstacles, climb, crawl and compete with one another while parents watched from nearby.

That made the attraction a natural fit for a wellness-focused event.

Physical activity does not always need to happen inside a gym or structured fitness class. Sometimes movement looks like running through an inflatable obstacle course and trying to beat your friend to the finish.

Our Utah inflatable rentals are designed for exactly this kind of interactive event experience, with obstacle courses and other attractions that work particularly well for festivals, schools, company events and large community gatherings.

At an event like the Kroger Wellness Tour, an inflatable also provides something especially valuable: participatory entertainment.

Guests aren't simply watching something happen.

They're part of it.

Turning Movement Into Something Fun

One of the smartest parts of the Wellness Tour was the way physical activity appeared throughout the event without dominating it.

Guests could move between different experiences at their own pace.

Someone might stop at a vendor tent, watch part of a cooking demonstration, try mini golf, walk through the event, dance with a group and then send their kids through the obstacle course.

That naturally creates movement.

It also helps families remain at an event longer because there's always another activity to discover.

For event organizers, this type of variety can make a major difference.

A field full of booths can give guests plenty to look at.

A field full of experiences gives them reasons to stay.

Vendors, Brands and Wellness Experiences

Brands and vendors were a major part of the event, giving attendees opportunities to discover products, ask questions, sample items and learn about different areas of wellness.

This type of experiential marketing works because guests can interact directly with a company rather than simply seeing its logo.

The same idea applies to entertainment.

An obstacle course is visually noticeable from across an event, but its real value begins when someone actually climbs inside.

The attraction creates interaction.

People race each other.

Parents take pictures.

Kids come running back asking for another turn.

Friends challenge one another.

Those experiences become part of what people remember about the day.

Cooking and Food Take Center Stage

Food naturally played an important role in the Kroger Wellness Tour.

Cooking demonstrations, cook-offs and other food-focused activities gave attendees an opportunity to watch, learn and experience new ideas firsthand.

This approach also made the event feel approachable.

Wellness doesn't have to mean spending an entire afternoon being told what not to eat or what not to do.

It can mean discovering a new food.

Learning a different way to prepare something.

Trying a product you haven't seen before.

Getting up and moving.

Taking a class.

Or simply spending an afternoon outside with your family.

That broader definition of wellness helped give the event plenty of variety.

Dancing Was Part of the Wellness Experience Too

Movement also showed up through group dancing and organized activities around the event.

And judging from what we captured on video, people were absolutely willing to participate.

This is something we see frequently at Flipside Fun events.

People don't necessarily need to be told they're exercising.

Put on music.

Create the right atmosphere.

Give people permission to participate.

Before long, movement happens naturally.

It is one reason entertainment and wellness can work together so well at family and community events.

Why Interactive Attractions Work at Community Festivals

Large community events need variety.

A successful event may include dozens of vendors and activities, but the strongest events usually create different types of experiences for different guests.

At the Kroger Wellness Tour, visitors could find:

  • Wellness and product vendors
  • Food sampling
  • Cooking demonstrations
  • Classes and educational opportunities
  • Mini golf
  • Fitness and movement activities
  • Dancing
  • Family activities
  • Flipside Fun’s inflatable obstacle course

Each attraction gave guests another reason to explore the event.

For organizers, interactive entertainment also helps break up the event site.

Rather than every guest following the same path from booth to booth, activities create destinations throughout the space.

Families move around.

Kids see something they want to try.

Parents discover another vendor while they're there.

Guests stay engaged.

That's an important consideration when Flipside Fun helps organizations plan event entertainment and equipment.

The question shouldn't only be:

What equipment should we bring?

It should also be:

What do we want guests to actually experience while they're here?

Bringing Flipside Fun to Large Brand Activations

Large corporate and brand events operate differently from backyard parties or private celebrations.

The entertainment has to fit into a much larger experience.

At the Kroger Wellness Tour, our obstacle course was one component among numerous branded activations and activities.

And that's exactly how it should work.

The goal wasn't for Flipside Fun to overpower the event.

Our job was to provide one highly visible, highly interactive attraction that complemented everything else happening around it.

For organizations planning festivals, community celebrations or brand activations, Flipside Fun can provide individual attractions or help assemble a much broader entertainment package through our event production and equipment rental services.

A Nationwide Tour Finishes in Utah

Being part of the final major community stop made the event especially interesting for us.

The Kroger Wellness Tour traveled through several major markets before finishing its community-festival schedule here in Utah.

And the final stop didn't feel like an afterthought.

Smith’s in West Jordan became a full event site filled with vendors, food, activities, movement and families exploring everything available throughout the day.

For Flipside Fun, events like this are another opportunity to take something we already know works — interactive entertainment — and adapt it to a completely different type of experience.

We've brought inflatables to schools.

We've brought them to city celebrations.

We've brought them to private events.

And at the Kroger Wellness Tour, we got to bring an obstacle course into a national wellness campaign.

Planning a Festival or Community Event in Utah?

Large events work best when guests have reasons to participate.

Flipside Fun provides inflatable rentals, obstacle courses, games, DJ entertainment, photo booths, audio systems and other event services for organizations throughout Utah.

Whether you're planning a school field day, city celebration, corporate event, community festival or national brand activation, we can help create entertainment around the people who will actually attend.

The Kroger Wellness Tour is a great example.

People came to discover products and learn about wellness.

They also cooked.

They played.

They danced.

They moved.

And plenty of kids got to race through a Flipside Fun obstacle course along the way.
